Our Tennis Academy

The Tennis Academy  Team Préaud-Habert.

The teaching team offers several coaching programmes to members of La Raquette Roquefortoise:

• Primary school tennis
• Secondary school tennis
• After-school tennis lessons
• Elite tennis group
• Adult tennis lessons
• Padel lessons

Primary school tennis.

Groups are made up of a maximum of 6 children per instructor, on a tennis court or half-court (wall).
1 session per week, 1 hour long, including various workshops.
Mini tennis is designed for very young children just starting tennis, with teaching adapted accordingly.

Secondary school tennis.

Groups are made up of a maximum of 6 children per BE-certified coach or instructor, on a tennis court.
1 session per week, 2 hours long, including various workshops.
The junior club is an evolution of the traditional tennis academy, welcoming children aged 5 to 16, regardless of their playing level.
Session content and intensity are adapted to the players' level.
The goal is threefold:

• get children playing for longer
• give them more well-rounded coaching
• integrate children into the life of the club

The main principle of the Junior Club is workshop-based teaching and the use of age-appropriate equipment. There are 3 workshops:

• Technical workshop (1 hour): work at the basket with clear technical and tactical objectives
• Guided play workshop (30 minutes): this workshop follows the technical work: the child is placed in a partnership or opposition situation and applies what they have learned before. This link is essential. This workshop allows rallies to be practised, points to be played and scoring to be learned. Guided play also raises the child's awareness of tactics and umpiring.
• Sports games workshop (30 minutes): these sports games (team sports, speed work, endurance, coordination, agility, etc.) help build the physical qualities useful for tennis, since "developing one's body means saving time in tennis progression."

Elite tennis group.

A comprehensive training programme for secondary school students.

Adult tennis lessons.

Groups are made up of a maximum of 4 adults per BE-certified coach, on a tennis court.
1 session per week, 1h30 long, tennis only, in a series of 10 sessions.
The same coach is assigned for a series of 10 sessions (Max or Karine).
